Black sand beautiful untouched beach - Pantai Nyanyi alias “Singing Beach”

Around 45 minutes to the west from the city (Denpasar), there laid a beautiful black sand beach. The beach is called Pantai Nyanyi of Singing beach because it’s located in an area called Nyanyi. In Bahasa, Nyanyi means singing or to sing. It is just 15 minutes before Tanah Lot beach.

The beach is quite far from villagers’ houses. There are 2 ways you can take to get there. One is fine road with asphalt but not so good, like I said it’s just fine. It’s a small road that has rice field views on the both sides.  Another one is smaller road; we can say it’s a path. It feels like you are riding your bike in the jungle, out of nowhere. Some minutes after passing those roads you will see the ocean.

Nyanyi Beach is unique. To get down to the beach we should go down the hill which full of cows (sometimes when the farmers put their cows there) on foot. We need to park the bike on the hills.

This beach has smooth black shiny sand that feels good on your feet. When you walk to the west, you will see some fishermen boat and people are fishing standing with their fishing rode point to the sea. When I was there, one of them got a quite big fish. Think it is a good place to fish hmm. While on the east, you will see the waves hit the rock on the ocean.. This beach is so quiet, on the weekdays almost there is no visitor coming here. On weekend there are only some, local who live around.

Kuta Beach in Another Island

Map of Lombok Island
Kuta beach is a famous beach in Bali. But now we are not going to talk about Bali's Kuta. Have you ever heard if there is another Kuta beach but not in Bali. Yes. It is in Lombok, an island on the east of Bali island. Kuta beach is located in a village named Kuta on the southern of Lombok. It's about 2 hours driving from Bangsal harbor or Teluk Nare harbor. It's about 25 minutes from new Lombok International Airport.

You can get to Kuta by shuttle car, taxi, or by renting motorbike. If you are coming from Senggigi you can take the transportation options that are served by travel agents. You probably wanna rent a motorbike from Senggigi to Kuta, it's about 50k rupiah per day. But for your consideration there is a taxi company that can give you any service in Kuta around certain time. Lombok taxi is not allowed to operate in Kuta area after 6 am. They can give you service only in early morning before 6. They said it's the regulation of local government.
Kuta Lombok
Kuta Lombok
You need no worries about the place to stay or to eat. There are many home stay from range 150k-500k per night. It depends on the type of room you want. There are many eating place just by the beach. The price is acceptable and not so much compared with beachfront restaurant in Bali.
Not like Kuta beach in Bali, which is always full of people, Kuta Lombok is naturally quiet beach. It has clear blue ocean and white sands and some cliffs and mountain around the beach. It's such a awe-beautiful view. The grains of the sand are bigger and cleaner than the ones in Kuta Bali. When you step on the sand at the beginning of the beach, your feet will sink into the sand. It won't be the same when you get further to the sea.
Kuta Beach in Lombok
Because of the natural and quiet atmosphere, the visitors are mostly surfer and the ones who want to relax on the beach. People like to have sun bathing while reading and enjoying the tranquil relaxed surrounding.

For your information, in Kuta beach there are many local girls and local kids try to get some money. The girls sell a sarong originally hand made by local tribe called Sasak. The sarong is called Tenun Sasak. The pattern and mix of the color typically reflect Sasak mode, quite different from Balinese. The kids sell handmade bracelets that they made themselves or made by their mom. If you are interested on their product you can bargain. But be alert, if you buy their stuff another seller will come and offers you his stuff.
If you are a surfer you can rent surf board in Kuta or another good beach to surf named Gerupuk. Gerupuk is not far from Kuta. Gerupuk is the most popular beach in Lombok for surfing. But unfortunately the writer didnt have time to go to Gerupuk. Maybe next time :D

As the conclusion, the writer thinks that the condition of Kuta Lombok may be the same as the condition of Kuta Bali in 1970s. Natural quiet and untouched beach. Let's see if Kuta Lombok will be changed in next 10 years.

Gili Trawangan Overview : Young and Wild and Free

Hello again.. Yes this time I'll share about my vacation going to Gilis, Gili Trawangan(GT), Gili Meno(GM) and Gili Air(GA). Who doesnt know those amazing islands! The most popular island among those three is GT(Gili Trawangan) also as the most crowd compare with two others.

Gilis are parallel located on the north west of Lombok island, an island on the east of Bali. Many people think that Gili is a part of Bali but it's not. It's part of Lombok. To get to Gilis you can go by fast boat from Padang Bai Harbor in Karangasem regency(Bali). The harbor is about 65 km from Denpasar. From Padang Bai, it takes about one and a half hour to get to Gili by fast boat. It's charged 400k for one way fast boat ticket. You can choose the fast boat company you wanna take, for example Ekajaya, Marina, or Giligili.

Another way to get there is by taking the plane from Bali to the airport in Lombok, and then from the airport you take about one and a half hour to get to the Bangsal Harbor on the west part of Lombok and take the public boat which is only 10k to get to Gili Trawangan, about 30 minutes. For the transportation from the airport to the harbor you can take taxi, shuttle bus/car, or renting motorbike. You will find the taxi company which has really similar look like taxi in Bali, it's only named different. If it's bluebird in Bali, in Lombok it's called Lombok taxi. For your information, Here is the number of the taxi 0370 627000. If you wanna rent a motorbike you should consider about the safety place to put the bike while your stay in Gili, because it's not possible to transfer the bike with you to Gili.

Well, We took Giligili fast boat to go to GT last time. It was fun and not spending so long time compare with taking public ship which takes 4 hours to get to Lombok. The beautiful moment when i was on the boat is when i saw the flying fish jumped from the ocean and flied about 5 seconds before it got back to the sea. That was cute fish. I also saw the bird flying close to the ocean catching the fish. What a nature.

The blue ocean was all around till i saw the shadow of Lombok Island and appearance of Gili island. I felt the excitement all over me. Blue ocean, clear sky, warm weather, white sand, fresh air, floating boats in a row at the beach obviously made a great feeling.

Just after i jumped off from the boat i stepped to the beach and saw a main street of Gili Trawangan. There are many cidomo(horse cart) as the transportation beside bicycle which can be rent. The cidomo driver will charge you depending how far your destination is, while by renting bicycle you can rent it per hour or per day. It is normally 15k per hour and 50k per 24 hour. There are so many home stay and restaurants there. The average price for a room is between 100k-250k per night, in low season. It might be three times of the normal price when its peak season (July/August).

In Gili you can do diving, snorkeling, enjoying sunset or sunrise, sun bathing, relaxing, and also partying :D. There are many tourist information stations in Gili that offer you best package for diving or snorkeling, there are also big diving companies such as Manta Dive and PADI office. A best snorkeling offer is to do snorkeling in three Gilis including snorkeling gear, mask, fin and life jacket and also lunch package which costs 120k. You will be dropped to the snorkeling spot in GT, GM, GA. The most amazing snorkeling spot is in GT where you can see turtle swimming so calm and relax. I was there and followed him swimming around. That was awesome, never had it before. The turtle was so big, may be about 70kg weight, it was followed by algae-eating fish on his skin. That was so good to see. For your information, in Gili sea there are reef sharks you can see mostly when you are diving. I didnt see them when i snorkeled. The activity that most people do is bicycling around the island. It takes one hour nonstop bicycling to go around the island.

If you wanna go to GM and GA you can take public boat at the harbor in GT which costs around 23k. The boat leaves from GT at 9.30 am and come back at 4 pm. If you wanna spend one or two nights in GM or GA you can talk to the harbor staff so he can fix it. That easy.

Beside the nice views of Gilis, big parties are often done by some bars or clubs in GT. The famous bars such as Rudy's, Irish, Sama-Sama Reggae Bar usually publish their party event on brochures which are put on some places like wall, trees, but mostly known by ''mouth to mouth''. When a big party is held, it seems like all tourist in Gili are coming and gathering in one place. The bar becomes the center of the crowd by hundreds people.

Gili is also well known as magic mushroom heaven. Im not sure if it is legal or not to sell or consume magic mushroom in this island. But you'll find there are so many places sell it and they use it as the icon of their shop or bar. Ahh ya,, you will probably be offered marijuana, cocaine,or other kind of drugs by some seller. Just remember to be smart. ;)

Well, the other thing that unique of Gili is that it is not allowed to have a dog in Gili, that's why there are so many cats every where in Gili. I dont know what the real reason of the non-dog in the island. But it's certainly that you won't find any pork on the menu of any restaurant in Gili. Mostly of the local people are Muslim. :) The local food you can find in some places, such as chicken satay or gado-gado, and also many kind of food in the night market before the art market in the central area (area where there are many expensive restaurant, hotel or bar and local people call it as 'central').

Four days and three night staying in Gili, to me, living in Gili represents my favorite song by Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa ft Bruno Mars, Young, Wild & Free .

Secret Beach no more a secret

On Monday. 21st of May i went to a beach in Kutuh village, southern Kuta. I knew this beach from a Norwegian friend, Ina who have visited this beach last year when she was in Bali. she went there with Andrea and some balinese friends. She told me that there is no people at the beach and it look like a 'virgin' beach without any touch from people. Its called Secret Beach or now called Pandawa Beach.

Its kinda lame for me as Balinese i didnt know where the beach is. But two weeks ago I accidentally went to the villa on the top of the beach. The next two days i went to the beach  with two others.
Well It was not as i expected. On the way to get to the beach, there was no traffic at all, it was like going to the place that is not occupied. I thought it will be no people at the beach. But there is a restaurant(with no customer), some small shops and many fishermen were fishing, some people work on seaweed farms. It seemed the restaurant and small shops are owned by local people. They may think the beach would be famous in some years later. Yes they are right.

Before getting to the beach, now it's built some statues inside the cave in the white big rock. The streets are under construction to be improved. Look at the situation, I more and more believe that Southern Badung regency is much exploited. It reminds me to the giant Mulia Resort in Nusa Dua. As a local im stunned thinking how Bali will be in the future.

This writing may not providing you information about the place i visited. But yeah it gives you a slice description  of situation in Bali as gold quarry for investors.

Lembongan Island: Another Paradise in Bali

It is well known that Nusa Lembongan is the Gili island of Bali. Lembongan island is a small island on the south east of Bali near the bigger island, Nusa Penida Island. It is in Klungkung regency.

The only way to get there is by water transportation. Sanur Beach is the nearest point to get there from Denpasar. Slow boat and fast boat are available to go to Lembongan island. There are some departure time may suit on your plan. Most of the slow boats are available earlier than the fast boat. It is at 8 am while the fast boat first departure time is at 10 am. It needs one and a half to two hours on the way with slow boat. But it only takes 25 minutes to get there by fast boat.

mushroom bay
On my first time going there I took fast boat. It is only 50k one way for local people. It is not the same for ‘bule’ or tourists. They will be charged three to five times much more. But I guess that’s commonly usual. J The fast boat that I took charges the foreigner passengers 250k for one way. But you can get cheaper if you can show your student card and also if you are in a group you’ll get discount. It will be nice if you have a local friend who asks for special price for you to the company (it doesn’t always work out).
Well, if you like to experience the wave on the sea on slow boat, you will get cheaper price for sure. Im not sure how much you (foreigner) need to pay but it is 25k for local people one way, and I don’t guarantee the comfort.
You should make sure that your destination is the same as the boat destination. Some boats are going to different bay in Lembongan.
My trip was going to Mushroom Bay, I took Marlin fast boat to get there. The ticket stand is in front of Le Mayeur Museum, Sanur. To get to the beach you just need to go straight till the end of Jl. Hang Tuah.
What to do there? If you wonder what you can do there, don’t underestimate it.

snorkeling spot
Lembongan has beautiful views of under the sea for you who like snorkeling or diving. There are many snorkeling spots there. There are also banana boat and slide on the ocean and other water sports can be enjoyed.
jumping point in Nusa Ceningan

For you who like adrenalin sport you can do jumping directly to the ocean on some jumping point in Lembongan. There are various high for jumping from 5 m till 13 m are available. Near the jumping point there is also blue lagoon and you can see dolphin there. Several beaches are good for surfing. Not only local people do surfing there even foreigner especially come for surfing to this island.

seaweed farm
Besides the water activity you can do, you are served beautiful views of the beaches and the panorama of the mountain in Karangasem regency that can be seen from Lembongan makes it completely amazing. The activity of sea weed farmers also can be enjoyed.

gala-gala house
In a village in Lembongan you can see a hand-made underworld called gala-gala house. It is kinda underworld house which has the same part of modern house such as; kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and has more than on doors. It was built based on the Pandawa-Korawa story in Hindu belief.
mola-mola house

You better stay there overnight because one day is not enough to explore and enjoy the exotics of this beautiful island. One recommended place to try is staying in Mola-Mola House in Mushroom Bay. You will be served with friendly kind employee, good food, exclusive building or room and beautiful beach-mountain views. Peaceful is easily gained in this place. Noted: there is no traffic here.

Mount Batur Trekking

Trekking may be another experience on your travelling.  What can you enjoy when you trek? Mountain panorama, sunrise, lake view, larva, steam, craters can be enjoyed. Mount Batur can be chosen to trek which is located in Kintamani, Bangli regency, Bali. You can go there by car or motorbike. If you are from Kuta, you can choose the way passing Ubud (Payangan or Ceking terrace)  which is nearer than other way. It"s about 2 hours riding motorbike. Maps on your mobile phone may be helpful.
google.com
Trekking Association is located in Kedisan Village near the Lake Batur. You will need to pay an entrance ticket to get down from Panelokan Street(the main street when you get in Kintamani) for 11k, but it's free for local people.
When you get to Kedisan village there are some fine hotels not far from the lake. there are also some restaurants around and one floating restaurant on the lake. The hotel where i stayed, Hotel Surya has about 20 rooms which are standard and bungalow rooms. One standard room is 150k for two people in it. if you are three people you will be charged 200k per room.

There may be some people offer you a trekking trip and say they are the trekking guide and tell you the price, don't ever believe on them. Because they may charge you much more expensive than how much it supposed to be. You better check on the internet about the Trekking Guide Association in Mount Batur and phone the number for booking a trip. Or you can call Pak Baru +6287860578544 one of the officers of the association.
Trekking trip will need a trekking guide, you will be charge 250k per guide. one guide is for maximum 4 people. but if you only alone you still need to pay 250k (not including breakfast and entrance ticket 35k) . If you wanna see sunrise on the top of mountain you need to go to starting point at 3.30 am. it is about 5 minutes from the hotel by bike. The guide will give each of you a flash light so you can see the track.

The trip will be about 1 and a half till 2 hour to get to the top, depends how fast you trek. It's 3,5 km far and 1770m above the sea level. When you are on the top there is a stopped point to see sunrise and cook some eggs also some seller sell drink such as hot tea, coffee or mix.

The sun rises around 6 am. After that you will be guided to see craters, sacred cave and feel the steam which will make you warm.

On the way down the mountain you will see beautiful view of the lake and the green mountain and the blue clear skies. so peaceful morning.
You will experience more than this when you try it yourself. :)

Singapore Trip

Want to know what the best travelling experience I ever had? Singapore! A small developed country which mostly the citizen is Chinese, a country where English transforms to be Singapore English and is used as a national language. As a citizen from developing country, I wanted to know how a developed country looks like. To fulfill my curiosity, visiting Singapore might be the best choice. It isn’t far and not so expensive like European or USA country. Besides, many airplanes company offer promotions flight going to Singapore. Those reasons and some other reasons made me fly to Singapore.
22nd of October 2011 was the time. We went to Singapore for five days. We went to the airport by taxi in early morning. That was at 3 am. The flight was only 2 hours from Ngurah Rai International Airport to Changi International Airport in Singapore. That was unforgettable experiences.
I didn’t think that I would get so many ‘wow’ expressions there. First, the thing that made me ‘wow’ is the Changi Airport. It is so much better than Ngurah Rai Airport. I started wonder how other International Airport in other developed country would look like. On the way getting out of the Airport, there were some taxies waiting for passenger. There was a luxury black car on that line. Someone came and asked us to get in to the car. Then I realized that was a taxi. The taxi had luxury seat and LCD TV inside. That was the second ‘wow’ in my mind.

The taxi driver drove us to the hotel that we have booked online. On the way to get the hotel I saw beautiful-cared park, and so organized traffic. That was totally NOT like the traffic in Bali.  The taxi headed to Sims Avenue 112 in Geylang where the hotel is, not so far from the airport. The hotel’s named Amrise hotel. It was okay, with AC, TV, and warm water.

We started to experience Singapore just after putting our bags in the hotel. We went around the hotel, and had lunch in small restaurant at the street side. There were so many Chinese restaurants which were always full by people, Singaporean. One thing I still wonder of is about Singaporean who often stay up late watching football match in the restaurant close to our hotel, but they still be able to wake up early on the next day. I wonder how much they have sleeping time.

On the first day we went to Bugis junction, a big mall in Bugis. That is so big mall, where you can find a playing-water park with various color flowing up and down. Singapore has many big malls anywhere for example; Bugis Jucntion, Orchad central, Cathay mall, Ilumo mall, vivo city mall, Singapore convention center and many more, I don’t remember. Not only big malls, Singapore has also many skyscrapers like apartments or schools. That is caused of the increasing population in limited land since Singapore is small, it might be one third of Bali.

a temple in Little India
Besides, Chinese tribes there are large number on Indian people live in Singapore. They have their own area with shops and temples called Little India. You can find typical Indian food, merchandise, clothes, and ‘pacar’ art painting on Indian girl’s hand there.
Little India
If there is Little Indian for Indian people, there is also China town where you will find typical Chinese things, starting from the food until the sandals with Chinese pattern. Everything has Chinese characteristics.
China town

One thing also interesting about Singapore is their government who has project to make two types of Singapore, Old Singapore and Modern Singapore. A taxi driver said anything like a building is built in two versions, Old and Modern. If there is an old building, it will not be damaged. It will be let alive while the modern version of that building is built. Such a wonderful idea to make income in tourism field.

Singapore doesn’t have many natural beautiful panoramas, such as beaches, mountains, waterfall etc. They build amazing recreational places to attract the tourists visiting Singapore, one of them is Sentosa Resort World which has many tourism objects inside, such as; casino, hotel, The Merlion Tower, Ifly Singapore, Universal Studio Singapore, and many more.

You can go to Sentosa Resort World by Sentosa Express. The station of Sentosa express is in Vivo City Mall. You can buy the ticket for Sentosa Express with only 3SGD with operating time from 7 am- 12mn. It is used for one day long, so you can go there as many time as you want without buying a new ticket in the same day. From the Sentosa Express station you will be dropped to your destination (sub-station). The first point is waterfront station where Universal studio n casino placed. The second point is Imbiah lookout station where you can see Singapore from The Merlion Tower. The third point is the beach station where you can see the beach and the Singapore Ifly.

Far Far Away in Universal Studio
The most attractive place in the Resort World Singapore is the theme park Universal Studio Singapore. To experience Universal Studio, you will need to buy the entry ticket 48SGD for child, 66SGD for adult on weekday and 52SGD for child 72SGD for adult on weekend. In the universal studio you will find so many theme parks, they are: Hollywood, New York, Mummy, Jurassic Park, Far Far Away, Giant Roller Coaster, Water World and many more. One day is not enough to try out all the games in Universal Studio. I suggest you to come earlier and make sure you are in a good stamina. :D

Singapore Flyer
Another attraction of Singapore comes from Singapore Flyer. It might be the twentieth ‘wow’ of Singapore. Singapore Flyer is World’s largest giant observation wheel, which standing at a stunning 165 m. It offers breathtaking 360 degree views of Singapore and beyond. One capsule can be ridden by more than ten people.

National Museum of Singapore
The last day in Singapore after experienced Resort World, Universal Studio, Singapore Flyer, China town, Little India, the malls, we planned to visit Singapore Zoo. The first plan changed because it was raining at that day. The decision is to visit National Museum of Singapore.  We were lucky that was free entry day get into the Museum. The museum is technologically built. It has thousand plasma TVs describing Singapore history. Amazing.  It was the last place we visited before fly away from Singapore to Bali on 26th of October 2011.

Five days staying in Singapore was not enough to explore more about him. I would like to go to Singapore again if I get another opportunity. I would be so happy to be able to go to other side of world.  That’s of course when I have much money. :D

Taman Ujung Karangasem on the second day in 2012

On the second day in 2012, We were still in Karangasem. Before check out time, we spared few times to swim at the beach. That was good beach with not so big waves. We check out from Puri oka beach bungalows at 11. We headed to a historical park called Taman Soekasada in Ujung village Karangasem which is well known as Taman Ujung. It’s only about 25 minutes to get there from Candidasa by bike.

Taman means park while Ujung is one of fish village in Karangasem where the villagers work as fisherman to live their life. At the beach close to the Taman Ujung you can see there were many canoes in rows. You can see the beach view from a high building in Taman Ujung.

As a slight history, Taman Ujung was built in 1919 under the reign of the King of Karangasem, I Gusti Bagus Jelantik(1909-1945). Originally, Taman Ujung was a little pool, the place where to punish bad people who used black magic at that time, the pool was called Kolam Dirah or Dirah pool. By the time, because the beautiful view and many water spring available in that place, it was enlarged by the King and named Taman Soekasada Ujung, where Sukasada is the name of area where its located and Ujung is the name of the village.

When we got there, we should buy the entry ticket 5k for local and 20k for foreigners as tourist. It may be little too much for a foreigner friend who have stayed for long in Bali.  From the ticket box we entered the park by walking on the kind of bridge where you can see rice field under you. There are big pools with many fish inside. There is a Museum about the King and the Kingdom in the middle of the big pool. You will find some swan swimming on the pool and beautiful lotus floating. On another big pool you can ride a small boat to see around the pool. There are at least two high building where you can see the Bisbis hill and the beach view of Lombok strait.

There were so many people visiting Taman Ujung at that time, it might be caused of New Year holiday. People mostly came for picnic. They brought mats and laid it on the grass while eating their foods. It seemed they were on family vacation. We didn’t bring anything and started to get hungry; we were just heading to go to a friend’s village where he comes from. It was not so far from Ujung.

Candidasa in early 2012

Now, let me share about my last day in 2011 and the first day in 2012 in Karangasem regency. I chose to spend my New Year eve in different way from previous New Year eve celebration. I often spent my New Year eve in Kuta to see million fireworks on the sky, and the traffic jam that has been started some days before New Year eve. This year, I wanted to experience something new.
On 30th of December I still didn’t have any idea what to do the next day. I was bored with the same activity every year, gathering and having chat while drinking with some friends, going to the beach to see fireworks, etc. I started to text some friends wondering what they would do on New Year eve. A friend said she would go to a place where there is neither so much traffic nor many people in east part of Bali. “Agree!” I decided to join her.
Candidasa map, taken from: google
The next day on 31st of December 2011 at 11 pm I was ready for a trip. I knew it wouldn’t be so long trip but it would be tiring because we would go there by bike. We leaved at 12 pm from Denpasar and arrived there at about 1.30 pm. I got but hurt :D It must be easier to go there by car but you should consider about the traffic too. There were some traffic jams on our way, especially on the way back to Denpasar. People seemed like to have a trip on New Year holiday.

The place is called Candidasa in Karangasem regency. It’s about 65 km from Denpasar. When we got there, my friend has booked two rooms for us because we were four in a pretty bungalow called Puri Oka Beach Bungalows. It has semi Balinese style of building.

puri oka restaurant
The price is not so much for a bungalow which has front beach view, swimming pool and restaurant facing to the sea. It was 200k for a small room without AC, but it has big fan then it isn’t a problem when you feel hot.

puri oka beach
The beautiful blue with three small islands in the sea made me feel I was not in Bali. Many canoes were in a row on the beach, some of them sailing on the sea. There were no people at the beach. It looked like private beach somewhere far far away. It was so peaceful there. On the left side of the bungalow, there is a green hill, make the good feeling for someone who sees it. On the right side from the beach you can see the indentation of Bali, and Padang Bai harbor looks small from where you are.

First day in Karangasem, we just went around Candi Dasa and tried Karangasem typical foods. We went to Candi Dasa beach where there is kinda food court and tasted typical Karangasem salad called ‘serombotan’, I also tasted pork meatball and fish satay or skewers. If you don’t like to try various Balinese food which mostly spicy, you can choose what menu you want on one of many restaurants at Candi Dasa beach street.

at candidasa beach
One restaurant we visited is Janger Bar and Resto, they have happy hour cheap price for bintang beer which is only 19k for large beer and 12k for small one. There were some foreigners in those restaurants in Candi Dasa but not as many as there are in Kuta.

The time went so fast, and it was 15 minutes to go before calendar changes to be 2012. We were just sitting at the ‘private’ beach in the bungalows. There were some boys and girls from Jakarta playing firework there too.
Then it was the time to count down, 5,4,3,2,1 fireworks exploded and colored the dark sky while “Happy New Year” was said among us.

Nammos Beach Bali

Couple weeks ago I n my boy went to a beautiful beach in southern part of bali, bukit ungasan. Its about 30 minutes away from ngurah rai international airport .
The beach is peaceful blue with the white sands. It's quite far from habitation which is on the hill . To get there, you can choose going down by stepping down hundreds stairs or by exclusive lift which is provided by karma kandara beach club. Of course that isn't free.

We chose stepping down the stairs, curious how far it is n how the surrounding panorama is. It looked like we were in the jungle stepping down the stairs, it was only the wave sound we heard n some bird chirping. Only thousand trees around. That was tiring and we decided to take a break, from the place we could see the wide blue sea, so nice.

We continued to step down till we got on the rocks on the beach . It felt like we have stepped down 300 hundred stairs, that might be right number! Omg, we were so thirsty! There was no small shop 'warung' selling drink or snack, like it use to be in other beaches. You better prepare stamina n drink before you go there, or else you can buy some drink or food in the beach club, which probably cost much.

The waves were so big at that time, we just walked on the rocks at the beach. If you go to your right you will find some sun bathing beds on the beach , karma kandara beach club owned.
The beach's named Nammos, if you type nammos in google you will get an article about Nammos restaurant in Psarou beach, Mykonos Greece. Don't know who n how it was named. But the view is really nice.

There were only two people when we got there, that's a good place for u who are tired of crowded beach like kuta or 66. according to a norwegian friend Mette, there will be many people come on the weekend to party in the club n the beach.
She said the club is very nice for you who want to try a new party experience.
